Do-it-yourself project plans from Jack's Backyard
There always seem to be several projects in the works on one of my shop tables, some for fun and some out of need and purposely built. My necessary projects are usually pragmatic, made to fit a specific need and budget driven. Over the years, a steady supply of used wood playset parts have made it possible for me to build many useful things that can be converted into great DIY wood projects.
Currently most plans are only available for forts, add-ons and swingsets, however, several new do-it-yourslf instruction books are on the drawing board and scheduled for release before the end of the 2016. Check back for DIY picnic tables, chairs, shop tables, mailbox covers and more. Keep in mind, this is the showplace for my build it yourself plans, but they are only sold through OtterWorks USA.

Build Your Own Playset PlansHome made wooden playsets and swingsets, while designed and built with the best intentions, are under or over-engineered, made with entrapment areas, exposed bolts, or inferior hardware. Why do more work than you have to? All of my DIY playset plans are refined for simplicity and voluntarily meet or exceed all safety standards set forth by the American Society for Testing and Materials and the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
