The Triton — a sturdy fort and swingset built by Mike for his daughter
Jack,
We just want to drop you a note to express our satisfaction with the swing set plans that we received. Mike was able to build a solid and sound swing set for our daughter. The product that Mike was able to build truly exceeded our expectations. It is able to accommodate both children and adults due to the size and nature of its structure and accessories. The swing set truly is a fine product and will bring many years of pleasure to our daughter and, hopefully, her future siblings as well as friends. Please find attached a photo of the swing set for your enjoyment. Many thanks. Marissa & Mike |

The story behind the Triton Do-it-Yourself Swingset Plans
|
The Triton Fort/ Swingset was my second fort design and not a typical frankenstein fort. After making several of the initial Endeavor designs, the Drozd family comes along and wants a bigger taller play structure than the Endeavor for their country home. The challenge was presented and the first Triton was introduced into the swingset world. Initially it was called the, "big fort". Can you feel the creative flow? This design specifically made for the Drozd family ended up being the fort made to replace the Frankie Swingset I sold from under my son's nose. You can see his smiling face with a group of his neighborhood friend's to the left. I won't lie, I sold this one too.

Over the years, I'd put together many DIY kits for families and found the instructions to be difficult at times. It occurred to me that knowledge was power! I could utilize my experience to write a plan for a clean, easy to build, easy to move, and inexpensive playset. The Triton plans have ended up being my flapship do-it-yourself fort/ swingset design and have made many families happy around the world. Enjoy the Triton Playset gallery below and buy the Triton Plans to make your own swingset story.
Add-On Parts & A Word of Caution
Many “DIY swing set” plans online are either overbuilt or under-built, using mismatched parts or unclear dimensions. That can lead to safety issues like exposed bolts, poor spacing, or weak hardware.
The Triton DIY Playset Plans are refined for simplicity and strength — and are designed to voluntarily meet or exceed the safety standards published by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
Unlike generic sketches or commercial-style layouts floating around online, these plans were written specifically for family backyards. They’re practical, clear, and tested by real families who built them and loved the results.
Whether you add a rock wall, monkey bars, or slide, you’ll know every part is designed to fit safely and perform for years.
